Zoroaster Temple, Cathedral Rock and the Kachina Peaks; the first two you are looking at, the third is a view from the peaks and now they’re covered with still another fresh layer of snow. When all the snow melts, there should be a wonderful floriferous springtime down in the deserts. You’ll likely see many more spring-in-the-desert paintings ahead.
The APAP show is finished at the SunDust Gallery in Mesa. I am honored to say I received the Artists’ Choice award. Coming up March 12 is our AZ-8 show called “Color Fast”. I’ll have 8 paintings in the show from tiny still lifes to a grand Grand Canyon scene. If you’re on Main Street in Mesa, stop in and see all the paintings from eight Arizona women. The opening reception begins at 5 p.m. on March 12.
I was delighted to catch up with old friends and meet new ones at the Artwalk in Jerome March 6. I plan to be at Gallery 527 on April 3, so please stop in and see all the work of the artists at “527”.
Next week a new retail store, the Grand Canyon Store will be opening in Flagstaff. I’ll be showing a few Grand Canyon original paintings there along with a variety of high quality prints of my Canyon work. The address is 5 E. Aspen just down from the historic Weatherford Hotel.
